One area that the residents of Stetson Hills (local registered voters, that is) is lacking in,....is voting. As an election judge at the last election, I witnessed a registered voter turnout of approximately 20 %, for the two precincts in Stetson Hills. Our politicians / elected officials and bureaucrats, pay very close attention to which neighborhoods in Colorado Springs vote and in what percentages of the overall registered voter population. Politicians and bureaucrats have responded to the needs (street lights, traffic signals, parks, road conditions, law enforcement, etc.) of Stetson Hills, not based on our voter turnout, as in some other neighborhoods in Colorado Springs, but because of efforts of a concerned vocal few, who have banded together using personal resources, (time and money) for the common good of our neighborhood/neighbors. And they are to be applauded! We could receive our needs sooner and have standing as a pro-active voting neighborhood in Colorado Springs, if,......we VOTE! Please vote, then mail or hand deliver your ballot as soon as possible. If you are not registered to vote, please register so you will be eligible to vote in the METEX election next April. Stetson Hills is a better community when you vote!
