There is a black, long-haired cat that I see in my yard on occasion.  It has a very short tail.  I found it in my yard today and it is in terrible condition.  Its hair is matted and there appear to be bald patches, but I am unable to get close enough to look at it.  I think it is sick.  Does anyone know who owns this cat?  If you do, please let me know because I believe that the cat is suffering and needs medical attention.  If it is a feral cat, I will need to call either animal control or some other animal organization that will trap and care for the cat.  Please let me know if you've seen this cat and know anything about it.
