My name is Tanya and I live on Corwin Circle. I have to say after reading the last news letter I am livid that there has been absolutely no follow up on the dead trees that are located at the end of the circle or the side street. Street lights are not the only issue that currently exists! Dena along with the previous board have obtained quotes from various vendors that include payment plans. Perhaps the dead trees and the street lights could be budgeted and both accomplished this fiscal year. The night the new board was elected the suggestion was made to research the city code and maybe construct an attractive wall and plant shrubbery to increase the visual appeal. This was also not mentioned in the newsletter or at the Jan meeting. I would also like to mention that this area is a major eyesore and demands immediate attention. This area alone in addition to the other street that has this issue creates a blemish on the entire neighborhood. An attractive sign at the front and street lights to highlight the lack of area beautification 24 hours a day is not the solution!
Secondly, I would also like to note the trash that gathers at the end of the cul-de-sac on trash days and continues to remain week after week. I am not going to be responsible for everyone’s trash that blows to the end of the street. Therefore I will not pick up another article of trash until this issue is addressed. The dead trees just trap the trash. On a health and welfare note going in between the dead trees is a hazard not only to my physical well being but any member of the community who attempts to remove debris. When surveying for lights I am only left to assume this issue was again ignored.
My understanding of the board concept is that it should reflect the entire community and not the agendas (or in this case the light agenda) of a select few. If my perspective is wrong I apologize; however, before ideas are put in writing address and follow up on ALL issues.
