SWPOA, Inc. Annual Meeting Summary

Jan 12, 2008

First of all, I would like to thank all of the property owners who came out to the SWPOA, Inc. Annual Meeting on November 13th, 2007 @ 7:00PM! Over half of the property owners were in attendance at the meeting. For those of you who were not able to attend there is a summary below of the three major items on the agenda and the decision that was reached regarding each of them. There is also a listing of the new SWPOA, Inc. Board of Directors who were elected at the annual meeting.

Decision 1: In response to erosion-related issues on the pond common area walkway the majority of residents present at the annual meeting voted to authorize an expenditure of $7,080 to fix the erosion problem and improve the walkway.

Decision 2: A proposal was made that a professional property management company be hired to manage the day-to-day operations of the Association. The majority of the residents present at the annual meeting voted not to hire the management company. Instead, the SWPOA, Inc. Board of Directors will continue to self-manage the day-to-day operation of the Association.

Decision 3: The SWPOA, Inc annual dues amount for March 2008- February 2009 was set at $225 per lot. This dues amount was determined by taking into consideration the projected budgeted expenses for 2008-2009 assessment year and the $7,080 expense for fixing/improving the pond common area walkway. The dues amount of $225 per lot was approved by the majority of residents present at the annual meeting.

Results for SWPOA, Inc Board of Directors elections: A new SWPOA, Inc Board of Directors was elected at the annual meeting. The new SWPOA, Inc. Board of Directors will serve for a two-year term. The new Board will hold an election of officers at their first meeting of the new Board of Directors on December 11th, 2007 @ 7:00PM. A list of the new board-elect is as follows.
