SWPOA, INC. NEWSLETTER APRIL 2008 ISSUE
Activities
We plan to have another Neighborhood-wide Garage sell again this year, so start planning and mark your Calendar for May the 3rd.
Welcome to our new homeowners. We are delighted to have you join our community and hope that you will enjoy the community garage sell as much as we did last year. We look forward to meeting you and your family.
Safety
Please remember to maintain the correct speed limit. We have children that play beside and ride bikes on the neighborhood streets. We also have people who love to take nice strolls along these streets, especially now that the weather is turning nice. So please, please slow down.
I regret to say that we have had another theft in the neighborhood. A utility trailer was taken during the day. Please keep an eye out for anything that is out of the normal and keep things locked as best as you can.
Legal Issues
All homeowners were expected to pay dues in a timely manner. Arrangements will be made with an attorney to process liens against property owners that do not comply. The cost to owners who have liens processed will be as follows: Fees due to date + attorney fees + interest until lien is satisfied.
Need Board Members
We are in need of 2 members to complete what is required by the By-Laws. Please consider joining us on the Board as an officer or committee member. The more help we have, the better ideas we will have.
Commons Area
Now that we have enough dues collected, it was voted to call Mr. Joines about the Pond path repairs.
Pet Problems
Please care about your pet. Don't make your neighbor dislike your pet.It is not your pet's fault that he is permitted to roam and defecate in the neighbors' yards. It isn't your cat's fault that he kills your neighbors' birds. It isn't your dog's fault that he is unhappy so he barks constantly while you are away and sometimes even when you are home. Please be a good neighbor to everyone and keep pets confined or leashed. Clean up behind your dog if you walk them and don't let them urinate on other home owners shurbs and flowers. Pet urine kills a lot of plants. Pets seem to be one of the biggest complaints among Associations. Lets all work to make ours better.
