Summerfield HOA

It seems that the some of the board members want everyone to show up at the Deatsville town council meeting, but they cannot even show up .

It is time that they started doing somethings that affect a lot of us, barking dogs, dogs running loose. It seem that they do not want to do anything about this problelm at all. But can figure out how to spend the hoa's money.

The meeting last Thursday, 19 Feb was attending by two people - the Board President and one resident.  The former was out of town for the previous meeting but has made it a matter of record that if at all possible a member of the board will attend the meetings.  The board has and will continue to bring to the town council meetings issues of importance to the Summerfield community, including pets/stray animals running loose.  I say this because there is no leash law in either Elmore county in general or Deatsville specifically.  Other neighboring communities have had the same problem and all of us desire a comprehensive solution that benefits all of the town residents.  Therefore the city would have to adopt one.  In the interim, the membership of Summerfield can vote to adopt rules specific to our community only, in effect making a change to the DCCR.  No new rules are made without a democratic vote.  Please make a point to attend the general membership meeting to vote on this issue when it is raised.  You may also feel free to attend a town hall meeting to see how your concerns fare when brought before them.
