I have lived in the sunnyslope area for about 6 years now and recently become more aware of the dogs at large due to the rash of dog maulings in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area's.Most have never been given current shots or have any tags or I.D..I myself have 5 small dogs and they are all current with tags and shots,spayed or neutered.It really frosts my _ss when i have to protect myself and the dog or dogs that i'm walking.The rabies animal control don't come out on loose dogs unless an officer can direct them to the loose dog.
Yesterday morning i noticed the neighbors dog who in the past has bitten 5 different people was attracting 4 other dogs to the area.They were running up and down 13th ave and Vogel almost getting hit by cars.Then they turned on the school children attempting to bite them.I had to chase them off with pepper spray which cost $20 a canister.
Something needs to be done with educating the people in the area,they are so clueless when it comes to animals.The Arizona Humane Society does offer low cost spay and Neuter but they need to get the information out to the hispanic community which in my area makes up 78% of the population......
