Welcome to the Superstition Neighborhood Association

The Superstition Neighborhood Association (SNA) was established in the 1980’s to give our neighborhood a strong, collective voice to share our concerns with the City of Tempe, a voice that continues today. The SNA includes 118 homes between the Tempe Library and Carminati School. This is a wonderful place to live with schools and parks within walking distance, convenient bus stops, four miles from Arizona State University, close to freeways, and an active block watch program on each street. The association is run by elected SNA officers and block watch captains with input from all residents. We are a voluntary association that does not collect assessments, however a $2 annual donation is suggested to help the association cover costs of printing, meetings, painting address numbers on curbs and alleys, etc. All residents, including both renters and property owners, are encouraged to participate in the many community opportunities that are available, from attending block watch and SNA meetings, participating in Tempe sponsored neighborhood events, sharing your ideas and concerns with the SNA officers or your block watch captain, and to be even more involved in the SNA by becoming an officer or block watch captain.

For the past few years SNA members have applied for and received City of Tempe grants. These grants were used to purchase and install a playground sunshade for Carminati School and to build a handicap accessible sidewalk for Joyce Park. The SNA has submitted a new grant application to upgrade the playground equipment at the park.

SNA goals are to continually improve the quality of life in our community, to maintain the integrity of our neighborhood, and to help keep our neighborhood a safe and friendly place to live and raise our families.
