I was browsing azcentral.com and saw this and noticed it was in Castlegate.

Does anyone know if this was a random home invasion?

Scary!

The rumor is it had something to do with a trial that sent the guy to jail and he was looking for the lady's husband. Anybody know if they caught the guy? There were 2 choppers flying in circles over Castlegate and several police cars in the neighborhood.

The gentleman is a judge.  A couple of weeks ago his wife was threatened in their front yard.  I had a cop knock on my door talking to me about it (it was on my street about 4-5 houses down from me) who gave me a physical description of the person who threatened her and asked if we saw someone that looked like that to call PCSO immediately and that if we saw extra cops in the area not to be alarmed they were simply trying to find the guy.  So I do not think it was random that then 2 weeks later this happened.  From what I was told, they broke in and she was beaten (possibly raped but that is unconfirmed) and they took her to the hospital.  Simonton Elementary was put on lock down for approximately 40 minutes yesterday afternoon.  I heard they caught one of the suspects but one was still out there.  They had crime scene investigators at their house well into the late late night so they were definitely doing everything they could to try and find the people that did it.  They also have 2 little boys, who I believe were at school when it happened. 

That's about all I know at the moment they seem to be being very tight lipped about the whole thing.
