I've lived in WP for a year now. Litchfield Rd was quiet for the most part. It is now getting pretty noisey. I know there are plans for a traffic light at statler rd but I don't think it is going to help much. I'm wondering if the noise is a concern for others.

Unfortunately....
RevK, Unfortunately for the people who's homes are along Litchfield, the noise problem is going to get worse. With the plans to widen Litchfield Rd., and the Surprise Center across the street, I can see more concerns in your future. Personally, I think the Surprise Center is good for the city. However, we're going to do as much as possible to ensure that Surprise remembers it's citizens at West Point and hopefully the inconveniences are minimal. I anticipate a traffic light going up at Greenway and Litchfield, but I haven't heard anything about one at Statler and Litchfield. I will be meeting with Mayor Schafer in a couple weeks to address all WPTC concerns, immediate and future. All information regarding what we can expect from ongoing construction and future plans will be relayed at the board meeting following the meeting with the Mayor. Also, the information will be posted on this website, as well as in the WPTC newsletter. Thanks for the comments, let us know if we can be of further help. Mark |
