I want to remind everyone that recently the HOA had trash receptacles with plastic bags installed at different locations around Westpoint greenbelts and playgrounds. I noticed the other day that the one in the Estes area off of Cottonwood St. had been ransacked. Someone had pulled all of the plastic bags out and left them on the ground.
I would like to ask all of the parents to remind their chidren the purpose of these trash cans and ask them not to mess around with them please.
I have also observed children in the play areas and greenbelts leaving trash laying around instead of disposing of it properly.
It is our responsibility as parents to teach our children to respect things and property that is not theirs. We should all strive to keep our community in the best shape that we can. After all when visitors or potential buyers to the area see vandalism and trash every where it is a direct reflection on us all. Most importantly it is an embarrassment to the parents of the children who caused the problem.
Lets all work together to keep our community beautiful and a place to be proud of.
