Check the statistics I have recently added at the bottom of the main page for our site, under the heading ''Sylvan Park Crime''.
It is a listing of reported crime for the Sylvan Park area for the last several months. You can see that we have had no rapes, no murders, no aggravated assaults, no really serious crimes (as many would define that, although any theft of something that's yours is serious to you).
Thefts of items left in cars is our most consistent problem. We are not unique in this regard.
Recently we have also had a rash of thefts of tools from cars and garages. Much of this, unfortunately, has gone unreported. Either the victims have not had insurance, or their deductibles have been too high for it to be worthwhile, I'm guessing.
We need our crimes reported to make sure we get the patrols and other resources we deserve.
