Two weeks ago I had an incredible opportunity to tour the home that was built for Theodore Wirth in the early 1900's. His grandson Ted Wirth guided us through the house giving us both personal stories and the rich history that surrounded the Wirth home when the whole park system in Mpls. was being created. Four drafters along with Mr. Wirth had an office that was located in the walkout basement. I have been a Mpls resident for 49 years and learned a part of history that is incredibly important. There is a non-profit organization that would like to restore the house, creating a museum, oral histories, education for school age children and library. INTERESTED??
