Tamarac at Maryland Lakes HOA

ELECTION RESULTS

Feb 18, 2003

THE HOMEOWNERS OF TAMARAC HAVE SPOKEN. With the attendance of 30 Homeowners in person or by proxy, the Special Emergency Meeting took place Feb. 10, 2003, as announced.

The first action of the Homeowners was to vote for the removal of old directors, so that a new board would start with a clean break with the past. Next the following directors were elected: Darrin Scarpitto (30 votes), Sylvia Cartwright (26 votes), Ron Hickey (26 votes), Linda Berzi (24 votes, and Floyd Ferner (25 votes).

The directors then chose Darrin as president, Floyd as vice president, Linda as secretary, and Ron as treasurer. Sylvia is a director at large.

CODE OF CONDUCT ADOPTED

A Code of Conduct passed unanimously, binding all Homeowners present at any meeting of the Association, to civil, non-abusive behavior.
The code calls for respect and consideration for all directors, officers and Homeowners at all meetings; the right of all members in good standing to take part in discussions; the opening of all meetings to all members (except for the confidential exectuive sessions); the banning of vulgar language, cursing, impugning the character of others; and banning the verbal abuse of Homewoners st these meetings.

Anybody who refuses to comply will be dismissed from the premises.

BYLAWS AMENDED

The bylaws were amended by a wide majority vote, to provide for the mandatory appointment of certain permanent committees. The purpose of this is to spread the responsibility for the functioning of the Association, without placing an unduly heavy burden on any single person.

Slogan for the above meeting was: IT'S OUR NEIGHBORHOOD - - TONIGHT WE TAKE IT BACK ! And, tonight, we did.
