Please do not discount the importance of municipal elections. Local government is where our interests are most accurately and knowledgeably represented, yet, the voter turnout in recent years has been somewhere around 20% of eligible, registered voters. If we truly want our community to be a place where we live, work and play safely and happily, we must do better than that!
Transportation need not be an issue, either, with absentee voting being an option for anyone who wants to vote.
If we truly want to make a difference in this world, we must accept the responsibility of performing this one simple act. To quote a very smart lady who has served our community for many years (Thank you, Faye) ''I am but one, but I am one.''
