Even with a quorum you folks cannot handle things. There appear to be 6 good folks who want to be on the board and it would be best for Mayfair if all members of this inept board would step down voluntarily and let others try. It just cannot get any worse and the buck stops with you, the current board members.

Disgusted with Mayfair Board
I could not agree more. Please come to Nov. 9 meeting ''armed'' to vote as many new board members as allowed. Remember the quorum (31 homeowners represented) needs to attend/or vote via proxy or we will continue to deal with mismanagement by Rampart and destruction of our landscapes by Raymow. Please walk by my home at 5209 Abbey Park Place. I am about to place signs outside to state dead/dying plants and grass because I am sick and tired of reporting problems to ''Rampart''; hearing nothing and the problems continue. We need a board that we truly elect to represent us as homeowners not this board or we will not have anything alive in our landscaping or our front yards....and I still question why last night that the minute Rampart announced to the board that we had a quorum to continue that a particular person immediately removed him/herself to create the fiasco that continued to postpone this meeting to November 9.

I'm the particular person
Thanks Karen for signing your name! I'm the particular person that made a motion that the meeting be postponed and 2/3's of those present understood the reason why and voted for the motion (to include most if not all of the candidates for election to the board). It was the understanding that this was the only fair thing to do as some people did not collect proxies (to include candidates) because it was stated they only could be used for purposes of a quorum and not voting for candidates. I know that myself and 3 other people refused proxies from neighbors asking them to vote in their behalf because the proxies could not be used for that purpose. The 11th hour change was not fair to these neighbors and also who knew what was the intent and understanding of the neighbors that signed proxies? Did they sign thinking it was only for a quorum? etc. David West

Postponment was a good Idea
I think the postponment was a good idea. It was the only way to ensure fairness with the confusion about the proxies and what they were allowed to be used for. The lack of valid information is a definite problem with the board and/or rampart. My only concern is that the postponment will diminish the turnout and possibly lead to a non-quorum situation and then we will be stuck with the same situation we have now. We MUST make sure we have good turnout and proxie/ballot collection to ensure the collective views of the community are heard and acted upon.
