Pharmacy BLVD & MLK

Posted in: Riverside Heights Civic Association - Crime Watch
Wondering if anyone else in Riverside Heights has had any issues with the Pharmacy on the corner of BLVD. and MLK...?

I have had three different incidents involving my family's medications during the past 3 1/2 weeks. I spoke with the pharmacy manager, the store manager, and the 1-800 customer care line after the first issue and was assured that the issue would never happen again. It did happen again only 9 days later. This time I spoke to the regional pharmacy director and again, I was assured that it would never happen again and promised that the pharmacist would be given additional training and instruction. Just this past Monday, it happened a third and final time.

I sincerely believed in doing as much business as possible within the neighborhood and supporting the businesses that want to be part of Riverside Heights...but no more. As of Monday, that particular store, will not see anymore of my support or funding. I will supporting the pharmacy across the bridge where customer service isn't just a phase printed on a small red discount card.
CVS v Walgreens

CVS is a wonderful pharmacy and I have been shopping there for 5 years since dealing with the headaches of Walgreens down the street.
The customer service at CVS is unbeatable in the pharmacy dept and they always greet you with a smile. Never had problems with them or my meds.
Avoid Walgreens, they are the pits! Will have you wait to fill your prescription while they are on personal calls, or ignore you like you are not standing there while they talk to each other.
I don't think so.....

I recently suffered a severe ankle sprain and was treated at Doctor's Walk In Clinic. The physician on duty gave me an rx for pain. I went to CVS to fill it and was told by the pharmacist that I could ''come back the next day'' for my meds. I explained that the prescription was for pain and that I needed to get it sooner and was told that he had ''9 pages of prescriptions to fill'' before he could get to mine....there wasn't a single person in the store or the drive through waiting for a prescripition. I took my rx to Walgreen's, where I was greeted with a smile and told imy medicine would be ready in 10 minutes.

I, too have moved my business back to Walgreen's. Like the other neighbor stated, I will not support a business that does not understand the meaning of good customer service.
