Is any one else bothered by the appearance of this house? Their backyard is a trash heap, the pool is half full and green and has been that way for at least two years. Now, for the past several months they have a dog that barks all night long. I have been to their house several times to request that the dog be brought in, which they have complied with. I have also filed a complaint with Animal Control regarding the dog. Is there anything that can be done? I think the owner of the house rents it to one of his children.

I've come to the conclusion that if a situation doesn't directly bother someone--they don't care. Your case in point--there must be others bothered by this same situation--but are their ears turned off or are they just to busy to do anything about this but gripe. Another situation was going on on Capitol Drive that involved unsupervised kids playing in the street and bothering neighbors property. Everyone complained, but no one took the time to deal with the situation--until the problem "fell" at our house. A few phone calls is all it took--until the next time. Get on the phone--take the time--talk to your neighbors--get the job done. Go to it----
