As President of Terrace Park Civic Association we are striving to achieve one prong of our annual goals. That goal is to ensure code violations (inoperative vehicles, trash, overgrowth, business vehicles in residence?’s, etc?…) are kept to a minimal. Recently the Civic Association toured the neighborhood with City councilwoman Rose Ferlita.
During the Rose Patrol, a number of gross violations were viewed and noted by code enforcement officers. Commercial businesses were also noted in the tour.
I am sure that once these neighbors receive notification either they will be very upset or they will do what is in the interest of the community, clean up their property.
Well all have the right to do what we will with our property so long as it doesn?’t affect our neighbors. If what others call trash is treasure to you, than do us all a favor and put up a solid fence around the yard so as not of offend the rest of the community.
The Civic Association will continue to push for a ?“cleaner?” neighborhood but we need the support of the total community. You decide what kind of neighborhood you will live in and what you will tolerate from your neighbors. The lower the standards the lower the community will sink into decay. Let?’s try to avoid the problems experienced in other neighborhoods.
Why let your hard-earned investments (homes) reduced in value because someone else?’s value is considered trash to the rest of us.
