Everyone needs to come see the latest addition to our community...''Joe's Used Boat Lot''... it's across the street from my home, Bay Pointe and Lodstone ...really it's a condo assoc. that has no respect for you or I...come at night so you can enjoy the bright lights and 8 ft chainlink fence....seems that they have no permits of any type!?! and are in violation of their own paperwork approved by the County Board of Commissioners in May 1998...no bright lights, nicely landscaped wrought iron fences, and no boat parking......not to mention many company trucks, cars with for sale signs, trailers with for sale signs, etc., etc. Our lovely community is being turned into a dump! But who cares?

Joe's Used Boat Lot
Bruce These are the kinds of issues that need to brought to the attention of the Association board. There may be some easy remedy for this problem that seems to be bothering you. I will forward your sentiments to Code Enforcement and see what they say. If that doesn't work, I can contact the condo association management. But before I go to them, what do they need to do to remedy the situation to your satisfaction? That will at least give us a starting point for discussion. Also, you seem to be in possession of some information that would be helpful in presenting the case. If you could let me have this, I would appreciate it. Jack Peel, 886-9601 |

Status of Joe's Boat Lot
Bruce, At the meeting on Thursday, the code inspector explained that the lawyer who is behind the boat lot is playing a delaying game by filing for reviews or other such tactics. That prevents Code Enforcement from proceeding until a ruling is made on the motion. This could go on for some time as the fellow is adept at playing the game. Just stay on top of it until he has played all his cards. |
