Gated Community

Posted in: Bay Crest Park
We recently purchased a house in Old Bay Crest after looking for months for just the right house in just the right neighborhood.

To us, Bay Crest seems like a lost gem of a community. We know most of our neighbors, the houses (for the most part) are maintained with pride.

The number of communities in Tampa with bay access is not getting any bigger. I do believe that this fact will dramatically increase Bay Crests values in the years to come. I was wondering if making this a gated community would increase that. As much as our lovely signs on Memorial do to set us apart this community still seems to be perceived as part of Town & Country (which isn't necessarily a good thing).

I am just trying to think of things that will set us apart as the wonderful gem of a community that we are.

Any ideas?
Response REF Gated Community

Lisa: Sorry it has taken over a month to get back to you on this one but I have been travelling and when I did try the first time I found I needed to go through a ''new'' registartion process and got frustrated. I could not find a phone number for you and again was off on business travel.

As the current President of the Bay Crest Civic Association I personally like the Gated Community idea. As a 17 year resident of Hills County I am a bit of a realist. Would like to discuss this with you personally and give you my opinion. Feel free to call me at 887-3891 and I will discuss what I think such a move would entail. Larry Redmond, President BCPCA.
