Bobcat/Mountain Lion in the Greenbelt

Posted in: Parkwood

That's right!  One has been spotted the size of a german sheppard roaming the greenbelt towards the pond to the back.  While hard to get an accurate account of whether it is a Mountain Lion or Bobcat (vastly different) it is certain that one is there.  Tracks have been spotted and a fresh muddy print was left on my back porch over 5 hours after my animals were last let out a few nights ago.  It was obviously not a dog's and most dogs can not jump to clear 6' privacy fence.

Our "wonderful" HOA has been contacted but alas, no results and a cold shoulder.  The city was called with little more regard.  My best advice is to stay out of there and hound the HOA until something is done about it.  I would advise those of us with guns to find it and use them to destroy it but then the city would be after us for firing them in the city limits.  It seems to be a no win situation for the residents of our neighborhood.  I suppose they will wait for a small child to be attacked.
