I have sent an email to the members of the VPCA/SRN to update them on the situation and have updated the web site with information. If you'd like to join the email update list you can do so on the web site listed at the bottom of this message.

As usual anyone with more information is requested to share it with their neighbors, more eyes and ears the better. It would be nice if we could have an indication of what the police know so we can watch for suspected person(s) or vehicle(s).

Stay alert, keep your radios on and don't be afraid to do a roll call at any time - you'd be surprised how many people listen at different times.

I know some people feel a little intimidated using the radio, but you know what - no one is ever going to criticize you for trying to help - so give it a shot some time.

Hope to more people on the radio at roll calls and remember to update your neighbors.

did police question this person?

Did anyone call the police?
Did anyone point out the neighbor suspected in being involved in the shooting?
And did the police question the person from the neighborhood?

Answers to Mz. Piggy

911 was called and police responded, they had w. Clyboun blocked off and had put a guy in a squad.

The neighbor was pointed out to the police by several neighbors who witnessed what went on and they told the police so.

Do not know if the suspected neighbor was questioned, no one saw him after the incident in front of his house, police did not go to the house and they probably should have considering neighbors pointed out to police that it all started there.

IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS MAY HAVE BEEN TWO DIFFERENT INCIDENTS THAT WENT DOWN LAST NIGHT . I BELIEVE THAT THE KID THEY HAD IN THE SQUAD ON 40 TH AND CLYBOURN WAS COMING DOWN TO HELP SOME OF HIS FREINDS IN A ALTERCATION THAT TOOK PLACE IN THE PARK. THE GUN SHOTS THAT TOOK PLACE ON NORTH 40TTH WERE PART OF A DIFFERNT INCIDENT.
