Dear Parents/Guardians:   On Thursday, March 27, 2008, Deer Valley Middle School will be hosting Parent/Teacher Conferences. Students will be dismissed at 11:35 a.m. On Friday, March 28, 2008, students will also be dismissed at 11:35 a.m., although the afternoon for that day has not been designated for conferences.

  Parent/Teacher Conferences will be scheduled with your son/daughter's core academic teachers (i.e. language arts, math, science, social studies) who will meet as a team with you to discuss your student's progress. We believe this format will provide an important opportunity for communication between teachers and parents to ensure for success and promotion to the next grade level. Conferences can also be scheduled with your son/daughter's P.E. and/or exploratory teachers. These conferences, however, will be separate from the core teachers' conference unless it can be arranged to have the P.E. and exploratory teachers present.

  Conferences will be scheduled by appointment for Thursday, March 27, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Conferences will be scheduled in 15-minute increments; we realize this is a short amount of time, but we are hoping to accommodate as many parents as possible. If you are unavailable to meet with teachers on March 27, 2008, or all available slots are taken, teachers will contact you to arrange for another date and time.
