Townhomes
I'm told the townhomes are to be built by Pulte homes, better known as ''polluted'' homes among the building community for their trashy building sites. They are to be identical to the ones currently being built across OHB from Frederickburg, called Brentwood something. We were told they are ''offering'' us land at the back of the Woodlands which would be useless to us in the sub anyway.
My husband built the new section of Huntington Ridge Townhouses (he's not a developer). Within only a few months of completion, 4 of the 6 units in the first building completed had been bought then rented out. Try riding over there to see what they have in the way of a traffic problem. They are located at the top of the hill on Amalie, at an extremely dangerous location, and they still haven't got a traffic light either.
As before, they will be extending Woodlands Avenue and building them up on the hill (above my house). We all must remember, 155 townhouses means AT LEAST 250 cars, if you don't even count 2 per home. Think about all those folks flying down Woodlands, trying to get out on OHB the next morning you are sitting there waiting for a break in traffic. It is my understanding that there will be no other entry/exit built. How do they think Woodlands Ave. can support this much more traffic???
We have been told that the board is against this proposal also. Be at the meeting, sign the petitions, call your councilman!!!!!
