Apparently they lost your name. You can volunteer again by contacting the board via the link on the web page. They need more people like you who are willing to volunteer.

why help

Why do you need more than one person to put up one ugly strand of lights and a wreath? Doesnt seem like that takes much help to me.

You're right...it doesn't take very many people to put up lights...but it does take someone. Fortunately, someone volunteered and probably did the best job they could. But then those who didn't volunteer complain about how bad it looks...so why would anyone ever want to help. I assume your preference would be no volunteers and no lights. I was asked to help, but didn't have the time; but if I don't help, then I don't complain. As I see it, there are two options: either help make it better or be quiet.
