Partially Right!

We were one of the first houses built in the neighborhood. We were one of those people promised a park and a pool. Well, we have received a park, a basketball court for the entire NE side of town, and no pool. A promise doesn't mean much, but it did provide some hope for a pool. I feel we should look at communities that surround us and find out how much expense, how much of a pain it is, etc. to have a pool. I feel that everyone's property value will go up. I am not against paying extra for a pool on an individual basis (for those that choose to use it). I do feel that we have paid a lot of money in to the HOA and we have plenty of money to install a pool and also maintain it.

My eyes are really starting to open to the needs of the neighborhood. We need lights at the park, some sort of control for the use of the basketball court, and we also need to make sure the entire neighborhood is respected and heard regarding the fence, pool and other major financial issues that arise. These issues are NOT for the board to decide. The board should represent the homeowners (all 500+), not themselves.
