When you are at home, carry a clean-up bag to pick up dog waste. The City of Austin does have a pet waste ordinance:

?§ 3-3-7 DEFECATION BY DOGS OR CATS.
''It shall be unlawful for any person to fail to promptly remove and dispose of, in a sanitary manner, feces left by a dog or cat being handled by that person on property, public or private, other than the premises of the owner or handler of such dog or cat.''

Potential Fine: $86

In City Parks, enforcement of this ordinance is the charge of Park Police.

In the case of an individual failing to pick up after their pet in their own yard (neglect or abuse) contact the Health Department's Division of Environmental Health

I thought dog poop was bad before I knew there are 3,000,000,000 fecal bacteria in there...Now I am really grossed out.

People: Pick up your pets poop.

Don't let us catch you not picking up after your crap maker....we'll have to rub your nose in it.
