There has been a concern brought up with some of our neighbors in the Oak Crest #3 subdivision. Our homes of five years and less have had a very bad problem with rotting wood and pealing paint. I would like to know if anyone in this neighborhood may be experiencing the same type of problems.

Bad paint jobs

Yes, the wood was not treated properly, and the paint job donwas bad and pealing off. Some areas the trims are rotten and pieces of wood is dropping. We are concerned.

We have had our home for 7 years and have had problems with rotting wood. The eaves in the front of the home and the wood around the back door are also rotting out.

Same problem -- rotting back door, paint peeling from trim. Obviously not treated properly. Has anyone filed with Centex about this?
