I would like to personally thank each of you who took the time to come to the Board meeting tonight. I understand each of you have your own concerns and the Board will do everything in their power to do what the residents want. Instead of so much negative talk, why don't we all pull together as a community and EVERYONE get involved in some manner. Your two active Board members cannot do everything without YOUR help! If everyone would attend the meetings like they did tonight they would learn information first-hand and not have to rely on OTHERS in the community giving them false information. Hope to see you at the January meeting which will be held on the first Thursday at 7 p.m.

Meeting

Thank you Zella and Wayne for your hard work. I was there at the meeting and found it very informative. I know some of the folks there were very intent on the subject of speeders, and believe me, something needs to be done. But, I don't think that spending over an hour repeating the same gripe can solve anything. Is there a possibility of calling a special meeting - just to brainstorm and come up with possible solutions to this problem? This way we can keep the topic of discussion on one issue. There were some good ideas presented and I think that if we can have certain officials in attendance who can tell us right there whether an idea is workable (and legal) we can get the ball rolling on nabbing these speeders and show the community that we can get things done. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the Response

I really appreciate your response. People should really get involved with the Community COP (cellular on patrol) group. This is a group of residents who patrol our subdivision and are trained by the Police Department on what to look for. They have been successful in preventing some crime and also in identifying speeders. They have worked closely with the Police and have been instrumental in getting the Police to occasionally set up speed traps. If you are interested, contact Val Torres at 543-1682.

Thanks again!
