CREEKSIDE IS A NEIGHBORHOOD OF WORKING CLASS PEOPLE. WE WORK HARD FOR OUR MONEY AND MOST OF US ARE PROUD OF OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. THERE ARE HOWEVER A FEW FAMILIES THAT DO NOT SEEM TO SHARE THAT SAME PRIDE. FOR THIS REASON, WE NEED TO HAVE A STRONG HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION AND A STRONG MANAGEMENT COMPANY. WE NEED TO SUPPORT OUR ASSOCIATION. WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS WHY THERE ARE SO MANY VIOLATIONS OF THE BYLAWS THAT ARE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE. EXAMPLES INCLUDE TRASH CANS IN PLAIN VIEW, UNMAINTAINED YARDS, JUNKED VEHICLES ALLOWED TO STAY PARKED ON THE STREET AND BOAT AND UTILITY TRAILERS ALLOWED TO BE IN THE DRIVEWAYS. WHERE IS OUR MANAGEMENT COMPANY AND WHY IS THIS ALLOWED TO CONTINUE ????? THERE ARE SO MANY HOUSES FOR SALE. PERHAPS THEY KNOW SOMETHING THAT THE REST OF US DON'T. THIS CAN ONLY BE A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD IF WE WANT IT TO BE. IF WE CONTINUE TO BE TOLERANT OF THESE VIOLATIONS, WE WILL SOON BE LIVING IN ANOTHER SKY HARBOUR, OR INDIAN CREEK. IS THAT WHAT WE WANT ?
I KNOW I DON'T !!!!!!

I Agree!
I share your concern about our neighborhood. Our management company as well as our Architectural Control Committee regularly drives the neighborhood to see what violations are occurring. The homeowner's are sent letter when in violation of our covenants and given 10 days to correct the problem. Some problems are corrected and some are definitely repeat offenders. If the violations are not taken care of, we could take steps to go through the attorney but this is an expensive avenue which we only take when absolutely necessary. I wish all residents felt as you do and want to remain in a nice neighborhood. The board works every week on some issue for the Assocation as well as ProComm, our management company. Please attend our Oct. 5th Board Meeting and find out what issues are being worked on behalf of all residents. Again, thanks for your concern!

Lend a Hand
There are many of us who are concerned about the way our community appears. I believe that the Association is probably doing it's job to the best of it's ability. You must realize the process is lengthy. Most people won't even bother to respond until it gets to the point of putting a lein on thier home. If you have a better way to resolve these issues, bring them to the table. Don't just write some useless babbling letter, that is already common knowledge. We pay our homeowners dues, but let's be realistic. It starts with us. If you want to change something you must be proactive and get involved. Possibly offer your assistance. Write letters detailing those homes which do not comply with the by-laws etc. That might help the Association.
Not everyone in Creekside has the opportunity or the funds to tend to their yards. I say we lend a hand, not point the finger. If you want to make Creekside a beautiful community set an example by assisting and not accusing. A little kindness goes a long way.
A beautiful community starts with the people in it, not just the way it looks.

TO JUST AS CONCERNED
I AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT EVERYONE NEEDING TO LEND A HAND AND SENDING THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY LETTERS ADVISING OF VIOLATIONS. I HAVE DONE THIS A FEW TIMES ALREADY. WHILE I DON'T WANT TO SOUND LIKE I AM TOTALLY INCONSIDERATE OF MY FELLOW NEIGHBORS, IF ANYONE PURCHASES A HOME, THEY SHOULD HAVE THE FARSITE TO KNOW THAT THEY WILL NEED TO MAINTAIN THAT HOME. THAT IS ACTUALLY WHAT I AM AFRAID HAS HAPPENED WITH SOME OF OUR NEIGHBORS. EVERYONE LIKES THE IDEA OF OWNING SOMETHING. TO BE ABLE TO SAY, I OWN MY HOME. THAT IS THE AMERICAN DREAM TO MOST PEOPLE AND I WILL BE THE FIRST TO APPRECIATE THAT. WHAT I UNFORTUNATELY, HAVE COME TO BELIEVE IS THAT SOME OF OUR NEIGHBORS CANNOT AND DO NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES NOR THE DESIRE TO KEEP THEIR HOMES LOOKING NICE. THESE ARE PROBABLY THE SAME PEOPLE WHO DON'T PAY THEIR ASSOCIATION FEES EITHER.
