i just came across this site and haven't really gotten a chance to look through it all.
i was wondering if anyone has address the subject of people walking their dogs. i am at my at the end of the rope with my patience when it comes to watching some unconsidering neighbor let their dog relieve themselves in my beautiful yard. this neighborhood has plenty of land by the playground for those who wish to walk their dogs away from their own yards. i work very hard on maintaing a clean yard to have to pick up that nasty stuff from it everyday. not having the stank of dog on my lawn is the only reason my child doesn't have a pet of her own. when i comfront someone who is allowing their dog to do their business in my property, i get harsh language and the excuse that they will pick it up. well, that's not the solution. the acid in the urine and stool still harm my lawn and not to mention how the flowers stink after their stupid dog marks his territory.
dogs aren't the only problem. i have about 5 different neighborhood cats that are allowed to roam free and love to use my flower beds as litter boxes. i'm short of putting a large sign that reads '' all transpassers will be shot on site '' is there anyone who has this same problem or can advice. i have called the animal control so many times to have stray dogs picked up and all they can tell me is to talk to the owners about not using my yard when they have one themselves. if you are one of these people of whom i speak of- please use the ugly lawns which if you look around, there's so many of them.
