I have read the other two posts that contained things on the duplexes. I have changed the way I go to work because of the deplorable condition that the duplexes have put on the entrance to Woodlake. The "no parking" signs (as good an idea as it was) do not do much good when the people living in the duplexes won't abide by them. Is there any way I can petition to get stricter enforcement of the "no parking" signs? Any way to get the yards and driveways of the duplexes cleaned up?

Yes
yes they need to park in their driveway or garages which is what they are for. The duplexes are built with garages for parking. They also have driveways. |

It's called Pride!
You are correct. They can park their vehicles in either their driveways or in the garage. The decision to build duplexes in a housing area was a bad decision anyway. I have lived in Woodlake for over nine years.(This is my first home.) When I moved here the subdivision was very nice. In the past three to four years the subdivision has gone downhill fast. Everyone needs to take pride in their property and whether they rent or own does not matter. I live on Quail Lake and unfortunately on my street many of the houses and their respective lawns look terrible. One house in particular is awful - 6907 Quail Lake. My attempts at cleaning up the junk heap there have fell on deaf ears so far. But, I continue to take care of my property and make the best of the situation. Another problem we have been experiencing is vandalism. Two weeks ago on Quail Lake some our cars were sprayed with white paint, tires were slashed and a truck was even set on fire. What can be done to make our neighborhood more secure and safe? |
