Unleashed Animals and Poop...

Posted in: Hidden Oaks North
As an animal lover, I do not want to seem cold-hearted...but...We live in a neighborhood with a Homeowner's Association, and certain covenants designed to make this neighborhood a pleasant one. Some folks seem to feel that it is okay to let their dogs roam free. Others keep them on a leash, but allow them to heed the call of nature on their neighbor's yards, then do not have the courtesy to use a ''pooper-scooper'' to clean it up. Folks, if you have a dog, YOU are responsible for cleaning up after it. No body likes to do it, but it is even more distasteful, and yes, maddening, when you have to clean up after a dog that isn't yours...Be responsible and keep your pet on a leash, and clean up after it. It IS the LAW. Trust me on this, you will avoid many problems if you heed this advice.
Barking

I couldn't agree with you more on the pooper-scooper issue, the problem also is that there are a couple of stray dogs that roam our neighborhood so theres not much we can do about cleaning after them. I'm a pet owner myself and it is important to me that my neighbors are not bothered by their barking. Unfortunately, not all of us think this way. I just want to ask that if you know your dog is a barker(specially in the middle of the night/early morning) that you be considerate enough to think of other people around you and correct the problem. We found a barking collar that works very good in training your dog. I thought I pass this info. around.
