As of Friday, April 7th the apartment owners have agreed to settle out of
court, therefore our services for court on Monday will not be needed at
this time. However, please continue to log any criminal activity (drug
deals, gun shots, etc.) you may see or hear and report it to 911
immediately. All data collected should be documented with a date and time.
It is imperative that we keep pressure on the apartments by calling the
police. If the apartment owners do not comply with the orders handed down
from the court in the specified time frame, they will be taken back to
court and you will be asked to complete an affidavit (if you have
information) listing the criminal activity you have collected.
The apartment owners must:
Cease and desist all criminal activity.
Do criminal back ground checks on everyone in the apartments- present and
new.
Provide security guards (they are in White Jeep Cherokees with a gold star
on the side).
Make improvements and clean up the area.
The owners have imposed a curfew of 10:00 PM for their tenants.
There have been 14 arrests and several evictions.
Please help us to continue on our quest to take our neighborhood back and
make it a safer place for our families. We are all so fortunate to have
such wonderful neighbors who have come together for this cause. Please
consider joining the homeowners association. It's not only a great way to
meet your neighbors, but a way to keep abreast of activities in our area.
The association needs every ones support! Flyers should be distributed
sometimes in May with more details.
