My husband and I moved to this neighborhood in April 2007 and already I've seen more stray dogs that roam the streets of River Trails then I've ever seen in my life. I even saw one dog in a yard off of Salado (that intersected with Brushy Creek) living in the fromt yard/driveway for months. It would just lay in the driveway day and night in the freezing cold, in the rain, etc. just watching the cars go by. I started feeding the dog, putting a bowl of dog food in the drive way and I havent seen the dog since. Maybe the stupid owners got the hint. So for all of the pet owners out there that let their dogs/cats roam the streets thinking they will come back, quit being so ignorant and lazy and just take care of your pets!!!!

Too sad
Sadly, since we are kind of an isolated community. I think people drop off their unwanted pets in our area. Any animal that I have tried to find the owner of that has showed up on our street that seemed lost has never come forward.
Very,very sad.

so sad
There's a family accross the street from us that I think they just let their dog out front to use the restroom etc, and he goes in other people's yards. Someday he's going to get hit by one of the people that dont realize they are driving in a neighborhood that comes through here. I also have picked up many stray dogs, put up found posters and the owners have never stepped forward :(

So Sad
I have the same issue. My next door neighbor has a 1 acre lot but seems to think that the front yard is where they should let their dogs out to go to the restroom. The dogs never go in their yard but all the other yards. Very frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
