Remember the pool survey that went around earlier this year? Well, I've seen the results. Of all those who responded, well over 90% said either get the swim team out of Circle C or make them pay big time (how about the 1/4 million dollars we pay annually to subsidize them).
Were those results ever posted?
No.
Instead, the pool was handed over to UT as their auxiliary training center. Great, now we're subsidizing a state institution.
Talk about double taxation without (fair) representation!
Just more of the same.

Agree with ''Fed Up''

Thanks - and you should be fed up with the management and responsiveness of CCHOA Board and its management. I agree - no new surveys.

I was involved with the Pool Committee (now called Recreational Facilities Committee -- but it doesn't include all recreation)survey last year. And, I summarized the results. You bet, changes were wanted by the CCHOA members!

The Committee is now reviewing architectural proposals for changes to the pool facilities. The Board finally agreed (with much persistence from the Committee) to allocate a very small amount of money for architectural proposal for plans. This is in process.
Stay tuned to see what the Board will do.

Regarding the contract between CCHOA and UT and Longhorn Swimming,the Committee reviewed the proposed contract, which was extremely lacking in basic protections for the CCHOA and its members. The draft basically gave your facilities away without appropriate insurance, indemnification, and due diligence to ensure the charges to UT and Longhorn Swimming were fair, reasonable, and current market value.

When I raised some of these issues, particularly due diligence around fair market value, I was told that someone else would have to do that, that the Board didn't have the time or knowledge to do so.

If the Board doesn't carry through with appropriate due diligence to protect the CCHOA and charge fair market value, then the Board breaches their fiduiciary responsibility to CCHOA.

How much more inappropriate management and leadership does the CCHOA membership need to see in order to stand and be counted to move this organization forward with appropriate, responsible and new leadership. Leadership that you can count on do the right thing for you!

Why hasn't the Board provided you with a 2002 audit, revised and more appropriate Bylaws, and a Code of Ethics. The presentation of these by the Board would be one significant step forward in appropriate leadership.

If they can't do the job, vote them out of office.

We need monthly surveys

And they should all be on-line by this point in time. More people in Circle C Ranch have web access, than those who don't. This HOA should be setting examples for open government and high levels of active participation, and our web site should be a beacon, instead of a sideshow on the developer's web site.
