Unfortunately, I could not attend the meeting...are there any outcomes? Fireworks? Was this meeting sponsored by CCHOA's BoD?

Thank you.

TheTown Hall Meeting was great !

I had a good time listening to the latest news, comments, and meeting some new neighbors. I've been busy with feeback in my email all morning.

I'll post the highlights here, a little later, but we covered everything on the agenda and it went smoothly.

Steve Urban was elected to MC the meeting and he did an excellent job of keeping us on time and on-topic.

I presented the details about the HEB project from information I recieved and verfieid with Laurie Swan at Stratus Properties. She is open to hear comments and suggestions, so feel free to write her yourself. On thing she did mention is that Stratus is very much interested in finding the tenants that we want for that shopping center, so speak up:

lswan@stratusproperties.com

Carl Kernodle, an experienced architect, outlined his concerns with the project, including the possible location of yet another retension pond along Slaughter Lane, the height of the HEB building, and how close the HEB building was going to be to the Escarpment extension. He was concerned, too, at the oversized footprint for the HEB store (93,000 square feet is a very large building, even for a grocery store).

Chis Bourgeacq presented the CCHOA By-Laws committee report. We have never heard it, because Don Abrams insisted that all committes work in secret !? In fact, Don has just asked the BOD for permission to force all committee members to sign a ''Non Disclosure Agreement'' contract !? (It's kind of hard for a committee to do their work in the community, if they are intimidated in such a manner.)

The By-Laws recommendations included increasing the Board of Directors to 7 or 9 members. The members will have to vote to approve the changes - not the board of directors, although, the board was asked this morning to schedule that Special Meeting for January 14th, 2004

Bill Gammon shared details of the on-going lawsuite with CCHOA and he explained that the BOD counter sued him for their attorney's fees. Bill explained that all he ever wanted was a meeting and only resorted to filing the injunction to stop the last election, when he realized that the BOD was not following it's own rules and our CCHOA by-laws.

There were Q&A's after the meeting. I'll try to post more specifics shortly.

More Questions-Town Meeting

Thanks for the update.

Were any of the Board Members, Susan Hoover, or Don Abrams in attendance?

How many people attended?

When is the next meeting?

Was the petition drive discussed?

One cannot help but wonder if Abrams would spend as much energy on getting the Board and vendors to sign ''declarations that they are free of Conflicts of Interest in carrying out their fudiciary responsibilities to the homeowners in Circle C'', as he does in trying to gag people working on committees.

I agree with HPG

I agree with hpg. Donald Abrams just doesn't get it. He lacks the leadership to deal with the real problems in our HOA. He lacks the vision to realize ''closing'' the HOA up is the opposite of what is needed.

1.) All committee people need to take a stand and refuse to sign the ''gag'' order.

2.) The board needs to sign the ''NO conflicts of interests'' document the bylaws committee produced.

3.) And all residents have to remember NOT to ever vote for Donald Abrams for ANY future board of director position.

He's a dinosaur, and we need an open, no conflicts of interests HOA. We need fresh blood on our board. When the time comes to vote, only vote for those who will sign the ''NO conflicts of interests'' document the bylaws committee produced.
