Hello CC Neighbors,

I wanted to tell you what happened at the HEB info meeting today. Villages at Western Oaks had a couple of representatives at the meeting. The CCHOA did not send any representatives but there was a handful of residents that showed. Belinda Wells, a resident of Circle C was there, she's also a Top Level employee of Stratus. Some folks felt a little uncomfortable speaking freely, Belinda was defensive, saying she had a right to be there. Villages at WO will have a community HOA meeting within a few days to share the latest information with their residents. They will ask the residents to vote on many of the issues I'll tell you about here. FYI: They have 7 board members and 1,500 homes with monthly Board meetings that are held at 8:00pm (for residents to attend).

Villages at WO has met with Stratus and HEB a number of times already. This HEB will be a little different than most, whereas, it will now be leased and not owned by HEB. This way, HEB can't be directly pressured on many of the environmental and other issues.

Villages at WO is pushing for sidewalks on both sides of the new Escarpment. Current plans have sidewalks on only one side. They are also trying to get the new Escarpment to be curved, and one lane with a bike lane to keep the traffic going slower. HEB has agreed to not have the store open 24/7.

The plans keep changing, but the latest includes a restaurant pad (not part of HEB). This yet to be named resturant will have indoor/outdoor dining with an outdoor playscape. Also, Stratus has told Villages at WO that THERE WILL BE A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT on 103 or 104.

The HEB on Brodie is 78,000sf AND it has the roads to support it. Actual size of the new HEB is now 93,000sf to 96,000sf. All at the meeting were concerned with the current proposed size.

Soon, there will be another community meeting, this time with HEB & Stratus, and the residents of Villages at WO, and any Circle C residents that can find out about it. The reason the community meeting will be very soon: the public zoning date can be as early as Dec 2nd.

NOTE: At the meeting, we were told about Cypress Realty. They will soon be trying to get Escarpment continued from Circle C, that will go south for many miles (IH 45 will get an overpass). They have plans to take their acreage and develop a 3,000 home community.

There's a lot going on, too bad our BOD are asleep at the wheel or whatever they're up to. Maybe our board can be expanded before too much more happens.

Your neighbor,
Sal Costello
Good for the Goose, good for the

You sound upset that Belinda Wells was at the meeting? If she should not have been at the meeting, what makes you privilege to go? You said she is a Circle C resident. I guess that is how you also got to go, is it not? Were you also defensive and saying you had a right to be there? Or was it only for the nay sayers?

What is good for the goose is also good for the gander! Is is not?

You also are ranting about how great Western Oaks is. Do you think Western Oaks is better than Circle C? I would beg to differ. I don't want Circle C turning into a Western Oaks. I think our homes and subdivision are more valuable than that. I like our neighborhood much better. I think the developer of Circle C did a more thorough job with Circle C.

I posted a report

My report is just that. It's all factual. If you were there, you would understand why I mentioned Belinda Wells.

Again, I understand why you don't attach your name to your posts. Please read my report again, our neighborhhods future will be impacted soon in a number of ways. There is more specific information that I posted, than the HOA has given us all year.

Also, I said the HOA is better, not the neighborhood. Do you know the difference?

Any HOA that is NOT selfdealing, that DOES share information with the residents is better than ours. Period. Only the 3 board members would disagree with the statement I just made.

Why aren't we having an HOA info meeting about HEB? Why instead, is our HOA President making land deals with Stratus?

Observer created realtiy...

Comparing Western Oak to CCR is truly

AN OBSERVER CREATED REALITY.

At any time anything you observe is coming from YOUR OWN view. Therefore some would think Western Oaks is paradise and vice verse. They are different communities. Anonymous246 email seems a little SNOBBY.

In my OWN observer created reality I don't think any of us here in Circle C Ranch should act like Snobs! The only thing about CCR that constantly stands out in Austin is all the hassles this community has had & continues to have since its inception!

It?’s time for peace.
