IT''S OFFICIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted in: Circle C
Wake up boys and girls - as the sun rises over Circle C, it's a brand new world!

QUENTIN FENNESSY HAS DEFEATED STEVE BARTLETT AND IS NOW A DIRECTOR!!!

THE BOD WILL EXPAND TO SEVEN DIRECTORS!!! (9 members fell just short of the majority by 12-thousand votes).

ROBERTS RULES OF ORDER HAS BEEN ADOPTED (by a little less than 10-thousand votes)!!!

&....10% OF RESIDENTS WILL NOW BE ALLOWED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING (this one was as close as they come - a little more than 2,000 votes)!!!

Unfortunately, props #1,3,4 & 5 were defeated rather by comfortable margins - but what the heck, you gotta' have something left to fight for!

There you have it...We did it. Anyone who worked on this thing deserves to pat themselves on the back. One week ago I didn't think it would happen - but things really started rolling our way in the past few days. Those proxies that came through in the last minute were crucial - and last night's meeting was absolutely essential in turning the last remaining fence sitters over to our side!

Enjoy this one guys - victories don't get much bigger than this one!

How Many Votes?

Congratulations on getting the most essential amendments passed and a new board member.

What was the total number of votes cast?
The overall count....

I think, due to the nature of the counting process, I'll wait for the office to post all official result totals on the window this morning...

I estimate that between 2.45-2.6 million total votes were cast (some people didn't vote on every item, so the totals vary).

I can assure everyone the ballots were handled in a very secure and professional manner. The entire count was observed by the parlimentarians and two people from each side. The CCHOA staff did a great, objective job assisting the process and entering the data. It took awhile (we didn't finish until 2:30 A.M.) - but it was well worth it.
