I am outraged by todays CCHOA newsletter (Oct. 2003) claiming the CCHOA had any responsibility for having Pedernales Electric Coop (PEC) go underground with the new powerlines that are suppling CC North.

It cannot be furthur from the truth.

CCHOA (Denise Nordstrom) flatly refused becoming involved with the matter when concerned neighbors asked for representation from the HOA to meet with PEC and Stratus re; the powerline construction project. Denise replied that the CCHOA has no say-so as to what Stratus can do on their property??! SINCE WHEN??

What angers me more is the BOD (Steve Bartlett) had been notified by PEC of their plans to construct a powerline system, which included 52 foot utility poles and 3 overhead powerline directly behind 22 homeowners, and he elected not to notifiy any of the affected neighbors. I wonder the action taken if this happened in their backyards.

Thankfully, and WITHOUT ANY REPRESENTATION FROM THE CCHOA, several concerned neighbors were able to meet with PEC representatives who were responsive to our issues and they,in turn, got with Stratus to see if an easment could be granted to go underground and save the value of the entire neighborhood properties. Stratus was very understanding and granted the easement.

Thank-you concerned neighbors, PEC, and Stratus Properties for working together toward a common goal.

SHAME ON YOU CCHOA Board for failing to get involved, and then trying to take credit.

CRAP delivered to my doorstep!

The CCHOA Newsletter is a bunch of Crap!
If a majority of CCHOA residents said ''NO'' to a big box outside the neighborhood (Wal-mart). Why would we want a 24 hour Big Box inside our neighborhood (HEB)? HEB will bring traffic and safety problems inside our neighborhood.

Why is Steve Bartlett trying to soft sell us the HEB Big Box?

I'll tell you why, he has financial interests in and around Circle C. That's why he ''donates'' his time to our community.

His family doesn't live here. He does not live here. Family safety is not an issue with Bartlett. He's concerned about his money. His financial interests.

The newsletter is written by Denise Nordstrom, a past employee of Bartlett. Bartlett and his two arrogant lackeys gave Denise and Susan the Management contract. The newsletter is Bartlett's propaganda machine.

This newsletter CRAP (hot and steamy) was hand delivered to my doorstep yesterday, with the money that I pay into the CCHOA.

More Newsletter crap!

The newsletter says that you can have apartments or an HEB.

Wait a minute! If the HEB does not fit current zoning, then why would the choice only be apartments or HEB? Anything that we would need and would use could be put there. Stratus wants to put something there that will be used.

The community can tell Stratus what we want and need.

I also find it interesting that the ''apartments'' choice is now called that. As I recall, the plan was for a limited number of apartments, having businesses on the 1st floor (like starbucks, dry cleaning, and a cafe). What has changed? Does Steve Bartlett get a sweeter deal with a HEB?

The problem with our current representation (the BOD) is that they don't represent the community. They represent themselves. They represent Steve Bartlett's financial interests. I've asked all three to disclose any financial interest they have here in and around Circle C.

ALL THREE REFUSED!

Steve Bartlett, go be a BOD in your own neighborhood. You, Susan Hoover and Denise Nordstom need to get your sticky fingers out of the CCHOA till.

Where's Gary Bradley now?

What happened with Gary Bradley's assurance some time ago that Escarpment would never be extended north of Slaughter to connect up to where it currently ends south of William Cannon? I remember that forceful representation by him and I'm sure many others do too.
