In our HOA's you are paying for your Alarm System to be monitored. It is monitored through Brighthouse the number you want to call is 813-436-2196. They will have you fax in a security form and that gets the ball rolling. There is an activation fee of $79.95. You are not forced to find your own monitoring company. Use the service that you are already paying for! Brighthouse does recommend that you have a land line so that they can monitor the service. I found the cheapest to be at Verizon, it is just the basic phone no long distance nothing. It cost about $21 dollars a month.
