Has anyone contacted the HOA regarding the broken gate in Brentwood Village in the Hammocks?  It has been broken for several months now which is a security issue.  Also, what the heck happened to the entrance sign to the other neighborhood?  It looks like garbage and has looked that way for several weeks now.

I don't want to bug Lee if she has already heard complaints about these 2 issues, but one is a security problem and the other is an eyesore.

I have contacted Lee Polk on multiple occasions about the Brentwood gate but still no response. The last response was August 31 and they were "cutting the check" to get it fixed. Perhaps if we all keep bugging her something will happen. I threatened to call 8 On Your Side to do a story about Greenacres Properties ignoring their residents. it needs to be fixed because so many people are used to it being open and they FLY through here. I worry a kid will be hit.

As for Oakwood - a car slammed into the entry at 3:00 am about 5 weeks ago.

Mimi - my husband suggested the same thing ! Let's get the media involved, then we'll see how fast some things get done around here.

She told me on Thursday - that she would have the date it was going to be fixed that day. Needless to say she never gave me that date. I more or less said to her "what is it going to take a kid getting hit by a car because so many people come speeding through here because they are used to the gate being wide open."

Her response was, "no one will be happier than me to see that gate fixed." Almost as if we, the residents, are a pain in the butt to her.
