Scrap Recycling On Warman Ave.

Posted in: We Care
What are your views on a scrap metal recycling facility in the 500 South Warman Ave.? Do you think it would really benefit the community?

NO! Didn't we just go downtown to stop a recycling place from going in? One thing that no one bothers to ask, is the people that have to live right by it. We, around here went through the lead clean-up, which they never did clean up at 500. All that dirt is still contaminated reading way over 1000 whatever they call it. I guess the wind doesn't blow there. Then as far as we have been told all the contaminated dirt is still sitting in the Avanti site building. What happen to the storage business that the We Care Neighborhood said they was going to put in? We all went down there to the zoning board together. Remember?? What we would like to see is something beautiful to look at or go to. Seems like Indianapolis itself would like that. Did anyone see how close Lucas Stadium is to us and you want to degrade it with that in our city. Feel that all scrap/junk type businesses should be out of city limits. Our opinion around here.
