The Majestic Oaks of Metrowest

Posted in: Metro W Homeowners Association 5 The Isles
No one has been able to explain why the large oaks in the circle were moved in the first place, but the move has been devastating to them. Four of the oaks have now died or are dying, and it does look like the fifth one is thinning.

The question now is, what do we do about it? Since the large circle is controled by the Master Association, we cannot directly take care of the problem. I do think this needs to be dealt with though.

PLease add your thoughts and ideas here so the board will have input as to the action to take.

It's just a bad situation that has to be corrected. How, is the question.

What would you like to see happen in the large circle?
Large Oak Trees

From reading on the Orlando Sentinel Message Board, it was stated that the Master Association thinks the trees in the large circle may have been damaged by muriatic acid.

Although this would be a good explanation for why five trees have died, I hope this is not the case as that is a malicious act that is unacceptable to all of us.

I'm sure there is few here that have more issues with Kevin Azzouz than I do, but damaging our property is not the way to settle the issues.

I recieved a letter after writing to the Arbor Foundation and sending them a picture and they stated each of those trees were worth approx $50,000.

Although I think it was a tremendous waste of money moving them, I think it is very sad to lose them completely.

I'm sure too they cannot be replaced and won't be.
