Is anyone else getting excessive violation letters from the board.  These letters are ridiculous as we know what needs to be done & do them as our work & life schedule (& budget) as well as the weather will allow.  They are getting totally absurd and excessive and unless we have become a communist nation under which I am an unaware, they must stop.    The board must focus on major violations like unpainted houses, lawns that are 2 feet high, unpaid HOA fees, foreclosures, vacant houses, robberies, vandalism, etc, etc, etc.  or problems that present a public safety issue.  Unless they are addressing these and only these, stick to the budget, common areas (of which many are not being treated, mowed or sprayed for mosquitoes) and get out of my business.  How dare they.  I am disabled and we do a nice job maintaining our home and grounds,  One week away makes everything grow fast this time of year, plus not everyone has an unlimited budget to hire people to maintain their lawn, shrubs etc and must do it themselves.  Go do something meaningful on the board & let us live in our lovely neighborhood in peace.

Agree.

I have never had a letter (here 23 years).

I think the Concern about Mail box Posts can be approprate or it can be excessive.

I had a neighbor that replaced his with a gross plastic vinal white one that after a few years turned green. I complained but nothig was done. When the house went up for sale I complained again and it was replaced with a wooden one from home depo... painted the proper color. I am good with that even though it does not have the "dental" latus molding (it doesn't look exactly like mine). I am afraid that if mine falls down (after 23 years) where will I find one exactly like it?   If it takes 5 weeks to have one made to order, how do you go 5 weeks without a mail box? On a similar note, I was walking and complimented a neighbor for having such nicely scripted numbers on his mail box. His reply was, his wife was an artist but that he received one of those letters you talk about. How is that a violation? It seems like common sence is no longer the order of the day. I'd like to order a new mail box post. Just to have one ready, when mine does fall down. I was hoping to see something on this web site,,, but I don't.
