I got this unmarked envelope in the mail with a photocopied letter with no clue as to who sent it saying that ''they'' are coming around to our homes to paint a stenciled address numbers on our curbs. All they ask is for 4 or 5 dollars to cover ''costs''. They want you to put the money in an envelope on your door and they will pick it up and then paint the numbers. Seems a bit odd...not to mention, that it looks tacky when all the curbs have black and white spray painted address numbers on them.

Anyone have any idea where this came from?
