people can go to the library and other places for help and a neighbor went to Woodlawn Comm ctr for some help last year on nutrition food recipes.

there are 800 tel numbers too...so it is a cop out and am tired of these takers taking all the time...

There are ways even at the churches for help

Why dont you just quit? people don't need your help or your churches. they have the government who will provide rather well for them. Now it's your turn to take the donations and enjoy in some of the rewarding sights our planet has to offer. You have probably been giving your whole life. They don't need you anymore.

Quit providing for someone who is provided for by someone else. it's not doing THEM any good.

I think we always have to help if we can share...There are always those who take but better we give a little to the takers and have helped those in need.

government can not and should not do everything

Kudos to henry Shelton for his efforts to reach out to the poor in todays Projo on the food stamps at the temp employment centers and other places...much is common sense, but we also have to empower these same people to do for themselves and not just have their hands out.

Where are the faith based groups and the ethnic groups in reaching out. They often seem to reject such efforts as beneath their responsibilities

We all need to reach out to interlock hands for working together
