Towne Lake Garden Association

As I was leaving the neighborhood this morning, two SAPD cruisers were parked on Lake Path just left of the stop sign. They had a 20ish man in handcuffs.

Turns out that two of our neighbors called SAPD when they saw this gentleman trying to break into a vacant house in the neighborhood. There is plenty to be made on kitchen appliances and copper wiring, if this is what he was after.

I'm just proud of the folks that made the phone call. If we all just keep our eyes open and act when needed, this would make Towne Lake safe for all.

Was the 20ish person in cuffs someone that has been seen in the neighborhood before? Can you describe the person? Maybe we can be on the lookout for his friends in the neighborhood if he has been seen before.

Yes, this is good news, indeed.  One item I would like to add.  On Memorial Day weekend, a car was stolen out of my driveway--a Honda Civic belonging to an elderly friend.  This past Saturday, her car was found, along with several other stolen vehicles, in an apartment complex on Perrin Beitle near 410.  Some of the cars were working while others, like my friend's, had parts missing.  SAPD believes this is the work of a professional ring of car thieves.  Our gates notwithstanding, it is clear that our neighborhood was targeted by these criminals--all the more reason that we need to continue to look out for each other and be aware of who is in our neighborhood and what is going on.
