Towne Lakers,
A recent conversation with a Board Member has let me know of several occurences of rattlesnakes that have been invading yards on the Salado Creek side of our subdivision.
A common link is of all the sightings is that the snakes were killed by a pool. One owner claimed that he cut open the snake and found two rats. We can only assume with this dry weather the rodents are looking for water.
Snakes are attracted to food sources and ,since it is starting to get cooler, the warm cement of patios and sidewalks. Please be very careful stepping out onto patios at night and be aware that any home may have one of these unwanted pest.
